Luma Eyewear at Little Orchard Cyder Festival
What is the Little Orchard Cyder festival?
‘Welcome to the twelfth year of The Little Orchard Cider and Music festival.'
'A charming Cornish party with some big live bands, orchard silent disco, BBC Introducing stage, camping and glamping, featuring a huge range of delicious ciders from across the UK plus lots, lots more.’ - Little Orchard Cider and music Festival
Why we choose to go there:
It's the final festival of the year for many in Cornwall; friendly, fun vibes, with lots of locals attending.
Little Orchard likes to make this festival mark the end of a Summer of fun. It is full of eccentric character and fascinating secret spaces. The Luma Eyewear had to check this one out.
Interesting people / brands we met:
We were very lucky in spending time with various acts and traders over the weekend, all brought together by the love of such a unique and exciting festival. Here is our shout out to the people, brands and bands who really made it special.
Land of the Giants - A brilliant to see band live and a super friendly team.
The Countrymen - Cornish folk singers from Launceston, funny and friendly and creating music that gets everyone moving!
Fishermans Friends - The world renowned folks singers from Cornwall. They were not working, but one of the members dropped by to say hello and left donning Luma sunnies.
Mobile Transitions & Mount Hawke Skatepark - Keeping skating accessible to everyone, Zain ran the skateboard ramp and competitions.
Radical Clothing - Edgy and original designs from the South West, with a whopping 10% of sales going to mental health charities. These guys couldn't have been more inspiring to talk too, and their clothing artwork is awesome!
What to look out for next time:
The Little Orchard Grannies - Yes grannies at a festival - a bunch of cheeky grannies that cause mayhem and mischief all weekend - be prepared.
Granny's Funky Wardrobe - Enter through a wardrobe in the woods and be transported down a tunnel to find a magical secret stage run by the grannies!
Silent disco in the woods - Amazing vibes and visuals, this a truly memorable experience.
Cyder Barn - So many different Ciders to try from all over the Southwest, it is the best way to find your new favourite.
Rattler Olympics - Mad country games including welly wanging and pantomime horse racing, what’s not to love!!
What we enjoyed the most:
Meeting our Cornish customers who share our love and respect for the surroundings, all with a different favourite spot to tell us about. Making new friends to drink cider with and party at the silent disco with!
